Finding Events Using CKLA
Through our mobile app, users will be able to search our curated database for local events in three ways:
-
Search by location
-
Search by category
-
Browse the general database grid
Future iterations of CKLA will implement the following:
-
Dedicated apps for iPhone & Android for better synchronization across platforms
-
Geo-location coding for ease of finding local resources
-
Push notifications for immediate notification of relevant, local resources
Mobile Screenshot Example
This an example of what users will see and how they can interact with each resource. Resources can be shared via social media to spread the word and encourage others to attend. Users will also be able to add resources to their mobile calendar.
A map-view will be available to users, so they can visually observe what resources are nearby. As users scroll across the map, the map-view results will refresh to display relevant information. Users will also be able to sort map-view results by category, keyword, and/or location.
Search Results Example
For users who would like a table view of the CKLA resource database, grid-view will be available where users can sort the grid for each column. Users can select grid view to scroll through our database and search events by date, category, organization and location.
